Paul Slocum at Dunn & Brown (Dallas) - opening Friday

Artist, gallerist, musician, programmer, and all-around genius Paul Slocum of Dallas has a solo show at Dunn & Brown opening Friday. Among the artworks Slocum will present are You're Not My Father, a series of recreations of a scene from The TV show Full House; PI House Music Generator, a program that creates randomly-generated house music based on calculations of the digits of pi, a process that has a number of intereting musical, mathematical, and cultural-historical ramifications; Hats, a video performance created by capturing video directly from Slocum's computer screen; and Filter Resistant Spam Hand-Painted on a Sweatshirt (pictured above).
